Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God.
This statement is made by the Lord Jesus himself from atop the mountain. To think of such a thing as having
a "pure heart", is something that seems unattainable in today's world. Though the world has evolved into a place that
harshly tests Christians, the Lord said that he planned our life before we were even conceived. God said in Isaiah 46 verses
3-4: "Listen to me, O house of Jacob all you who remain of the house of Israel, you whom I have upheld since you were conceived,
and have carried since your birth. Even your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you
and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you."
Wow, what a powerful set of verses! Here, God is telling us that he knows what we must face in life, but he
is there to "carry, sustain, and rescue us". That sure puts me at peace, knowing that everytime I face temptations, obstacles,
and evil desires, the Lord is there to rescue, and even carry you and me through it! God Bless.
